A few little girls wrote a letter to the Richmond city sheriff, C. T. Woody, Jr, requesting to spend time with their fathers. The setting? A Father-Daughter Dance. I watched the founder of Girls For A Change, Angela Patton, share about this organization on NewsOne this morning (Weekdays on TV One 9 AM CST). She states, “It is necessary for a father to be part of his daughter’s life, regardless of the situation. Whether you’re in our out, you’re preparing her!” Angela’s non-profit is called Camp Diva.
Angela gave a TED talk (one of the resources on my #Anything page) about her experience with the program. Check it out below and donate to the cause!
