Small & Sassy

One of my favorite things to do while traveling is to get a feel for city living. Yesterday, I visited a new and swanky apartment community in San Diego called Broadstone Apartments Little Italy. It’s very close to being finished but is not yet open to the public. Well… I went insde and experienced the grand tour! The loft is modern, immaculate, simple, sassy and chic! The foyer looks like something you’d see in a high-end magazine. The carpet was new and fresh and gave me the new-car smell. Even the multi-color doors were beautiful!

Here are a few amenities that are absolutely amazing:

  • Teak cabinets and quartz countertops in the kitchen

  • State of the art gym

  • See-through jacuzzi with street view (no sneaking, ok?!)

  • Amazing Community room called The Yacht Club, with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean

Broadstone is truly a first class experience! Although it doesn’t fit in my quest for Early Retirement (yes, I’m still one million percent gushing over that), it is an amazing experience to take a walk through the building and imagine yourself living in a place like that. What would your day be like? Morning strolls on the pier… Coffee on the balcony… Impromptu walks to Little Italy for lunch… The occasional, foreign sound of an alarm clock… Can you see it???

Now, these apartments are not huge and I know some people just can’t do small spaces because it may make them feel claustrophobic (queue my mom). But, if you DO like this care-free, simple way of living, I thought I’d share this cool video from iKea about making small spaces fabulous. Enjoy!
