My New Favorite Place in LIFE

Every now and again you find a thing (person or place) that you adore. Restoration Hardware gives me LIFE! Do you hear me?? 👂🏽  I have visited their Atlanta Showroom many a time – dreaming – and ultimately selected a few immaculate pieces for my son’s bedroom decor (airplane themed). Suffice it to say that if I could buy ALL my furniture from Restoration Hardware (RH) I absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt WOULDt!

While searching their website one day, I discovered that they also have seven (7) rooftop restaurants. I immediately added them to my wish / to go list; but, in my mind wrote off the concept of visiting a city just to try out a (furniture) restaurant as silly. #NOT! Here are the restaurant locations – all with their own unique decor / ambiance:

Restoration Hardware in West Palm Beach, Florida is GOALS! 🙌🏽🏳️🖤 Can I throw a party in there? Can I live my life in there? Can I work there? 👀👀👀 Somebody tell me WHAT I have to do to have this experience FOREVER! I spent 2 hours in their rooftop restaurant (packed!), another hour walking their four (4) floors of amazing furniture setups and took fifty 50 pictures… Yes, I was that impressed!

Here are some stock photos of the West Palm Beach Location from the company’s website:

I literarily drool every time I look at these photos. Check out all the pics I took  by clicking the link/photo below:

Amazon and GE

urlI love it when two companies I love parter together to create innovative products! I actually think there is not enough collaborations from major brands and we will see MUCH MORE of this in the future. Amazon’s Alexa, think digital personal assistant, has been a hit for some time. So much so that you can barely get your hands on it. But instead of a black box to house the Siri-like technology, Amazon has partnered with General Electric to put Alexa in a lighting unit. 🙋🏽 #fan

It includes always-on microphones listening for commands and questions, and when it hears one, it’ll react or speak out a response through its built-in speakers. The Verge

amazon-logoBut that’s not all. Amazon is inserting Alexa into everything: speakers, TV’s, lamps, cars, robots, you name it! Google and Amazon are both competing in this space. Who will win? I honestly don’t care! It’s a great example of innovation and competition is good for consumers! Check out the GE lamp powered by Alexa below. It’s supposed to be available in the 2nd quarter of this year. #engineering #computerscience #technology #manufacturing #stem

A House is not a Home

Lately I have been intrigued with organization of all types: jewelry, closets, makeup, you name it! While celebrating my sorority’s founder’s day yesterday at Del Frisco’s Grille (I♥It), one of my line sisters introduced me to an app/website called Houzz. I call it Fabulousity in the Home because it’s like a wonderful world of goodness for every room in your home. From the bathroom, kitchen to your home office and CLOSET – you can search Houzz’s massive collection of photos… even by style: modern, contemporary, eclectic, traditional and more. This app is a must!!!

One amazing feature Houzz offers is collections of articles in categories like: Product Picks, Houzz Tours and Small Spaces. Click the images below to review a couple of my favs in the Home Tech Category.

For maximum impact, checkout out the comments – there’s almost always more tips to pick up.
