Best of Chloe

Chloe. A French luxury fashion house founded in 1952 and sold in high end stores like Nordstrom, Saks (best collection) and Neiman Marcus. I absolutely LOVE this designer’s sophisticated pieces and clean lines – mostly their accessories like handbags, shoes and jewelry. Chloe has the absolute PERFECT shade of gray and THE prettiest pink for Spring. The calfskin leather is also amazing. Here are a few of my favorite pieces from their current collection. #wantitall 😩

Consider Chloe’s most popular handbag, The Marcie Medium Satchel. It comes in 12 colors (red not shown) and I can honestly see myself carrying most, if not ALL of them depending on the time of year. Pick ANY color… you can’t go wrong!!!

While we’re at it, take a look at Chloe’s 2017 Fall/Winter Runway on YouTube 😍 or check out #chloegirls on Instagram for the latest fashion trends.

Relationship with Things

It feels like everything I own is on the same team.

This is a quote I read in an article titled, “Every Thing You Own is a Relationship You’re In.” When I read the title, I was like yes! It makes me feel a little better about my annual purges because I keep only the things I absolutely love and also “like things” – meaning the things I wear over and over again and only the pieces that play nice together (mix-and-match). For example, now that I’m down to 4 handbags (all designer – hehe), they are definitely on the same team! What team? you may ask? The Fabulous Team, of course! No matter which one I grab they are all amazing (to me) and can coordinate with everything else – not necessarily matchy matchy – or add a little swag to any outfit and I ALWAYS feel amazing and fabulous! That statement is seriously so profound. That’s what your THINGS should do for you!!!

Our possessions are more psychological than physical. What a thing is is much less important than what it does to your mind when you own it. But it’s hard to see what each item does when you’re feeling the effect of a thousand such relationships at once. That’s why you need to audit every single object on its own, and why owning fewer things is better overall.

I definitely recommend you read the article in its entirety, click here for that. And if you’re up for it, read the comments as well – that’s where the true action takes place! Simply your things and your life! #readAnything #loveit

The real value in things is the experience they create for us.

Coach is Back – Fall Lineup

I’ve never been a big Coach fan; although, I do have one black handbag. This has changed with the brand’s new Fall line or as I like to call it, the “Coach is Back” lineup. From Saddle Dot – every single piece has sold out (not before I could buy a hat) – to Wild Beast, the pieces are absolutely amazing, vibrant and very stylish. There is not doubt you can 100% get your Fall handbag fix from their new offerings. If I were rich, I’d buy at least 5 pieces from their new collections right now. Since I’m not, I’ll just wait until their next 25% off promotion goes out and will definitely plan to buy at least one piece below, assuming it’s still available – which one? that’s a secret! Be sure to sign up for their emails (bottom of the page) or check out their public Facebook to get the heads up (no account required).

Here are my favorites:

bordeaux, olive, black, wild beastwallet

Did you I mention how cute their #coach pups campaign is? Well done Coach!

Here’s the hat I snatched up a week ago as soon as I saw it. #score This collection sold out so fast, it isn’t even on Coach’s website anymore! ♥♥♥

Kate Spade, Michael Kors or Coach?

“It’s a tale of three diverging luxury designers as affordability and availability take precedence over exclusivity and high pricing that have long attracted rich, aspirational spenders and tourists.” (Fox Business) Are you buying that?? Anytime someone makes a claim that a stock is about to take off, you want to do some investigation yourself… but since this is not that kind of site, we’ll move on to a more fabulous-type of discussion.

I’ve told you before about Kate Spade for Former/Future Brides as well as Kate Spade Idiom Bracelets; but, I haven’t really paid much attention to the designer’s hand bags. That’s because I love the vibrancy of Michael Kors and the classic, sophisticated feel of Coach. Given the proclamation by Fox that Kate Spade is set to sail to the top, I decided to compare current offerings and select my favorite brand in 3 categories: Clutch, Tote and Shoulder Bag. I just have one requirement: It absolutely must be Fabulous!

cluth-coachshoulder-coachtote-korsThe best Clutch goes to Coach at $299. Kate Spade was the runner up (click here) and I was hard pressed to find anything I liked by Michael Kors, although he did win best Tote, hands down at $298, with a classic style in a gorgeously vibrant green (there are many color choices). Some people prefer to have zippers on their totes and Kors has those options as well! I may give consideration to this 2nd option from Coach at $258. Finally, for a Shoulder Bag. This area is not really not my forte / go-to design; but, what I do know is that I would not purchase any of the Kors options. I like Madison by Coach at $328 – the powder blue totally sold me! Sooo… there you have it – I guess I’m still a mostly-Coach & sometimes-Kors kinda-girl! Which is quite strange for me to say because a few years ago I wouldn’t step a foot into a Coach store! I guess the times (or designers) have changed! I always say buy stock for companies you like so I include tickers for Coach and Michael Kors below 🙂

spadePS: Since we’re talking handbags, I’d love to have this cutie by Kate Spade come in a smaller version to use for my lunch. Or even maybe better, a fashionable beach bag in the current size! (too bad it’s not waterproof). 😦
