Designer Arm Candy

pic from google images. not my arm (sadly!)

There are some things you look at that make your heart sing! 🎼🎤 (I borrowed this phrase from a prominent YouTuber, Minks4All). Today’s topic is bracelets, also known arm candy when strategically stacked/positioned to create what some consider to be a work of art! In this post I am including my FAVORITE designer bracelets from:  Lagos, Cartier, Hermes, Gucci, Tiffany, Louis Vuitton and Van Cleef. These items ARE on my #wishlist – some things never come off because they are #SUPERexpensive 🤑 A girl can dream can’t she?!

LAGOS – Absolutely LOVE the subtle, yet classy way they mix metals, particularly black (caviar) 🖤 with silver, gold or pearl. All are stunning!

Next up is the infamous CARTIER love bracelet, obviously in gold (DUH!) WITH diamonds! No additional commentary needed here. 😩

HERMES H bracelet. Many colors available, take your pick! I prefer narrow (0.5 inch) in some combination of black, silver, white or gold. Their signature orange is also a go.

GUCCI Loved pendant bracelet with pearls. Great for a night out on the town!

TIFFANY HARDWEAR Link Bracelet in gold, medium.

LOUIS VUITTON Idylle Blossom Bracelet, Yellow Gold with Diamonds.

VAN CLEEF & ARPELS Vintage Alhambra bracelet. This is a new brand for me; but, I LOVE this bracelet and it looks SO good on!

You don’t have to be rich to get these looks. Find something similar in your price range and rock with it!

What’s in My Bag

I’m on vacation this week (sort of) and will be experimenting with different types of posts. “What’s in my Bag Videos” have become very popular on YouTube (I watch them A LOT) and can be quite entertaining. A simple search for that phrase yields 4,450,000 results!!! The WIMB following is not a game! It kind of has the same feel as the #plannergirl community. You can find all types of handbags and all types of people sharing details about what they hall around with them on a daily basis and I abosolutely love it!

So today I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and talk about what’s in my Gucci Soho Disco Bag! This video isn’t perfect – I recorded once and decided to roll with it. 💁🏽If you like the video, let me know! Links to purchase all items of significance are listed below. Oh and I forgot to mention that my phone is always in my bag. I just couldn’t show it because I used it to record this video.

The Gucci Soho Disco bag was also featured in Bri’s Favorite Things 2016. Enjoy! 😊

Love *now*

University of Pennsylvania's 258th Commencement CeremonyDid you know that (opening your heart and mind to) love was the key to success, the key to happiness? How about that Kanye West had a pig part in developing John Legend‘s career when everyone else said no? These are revelations made in John’s address to the Class of 2014 at The University of Pennsylvania. You can read his entire speech here but I want to highlight a few words that stood out to me:

  • ON SUCCESS: The key to success, the key to happiness, is opening your mind and your heart to love. Spending your time doing things you love and with people you love.

  • ON CHARACTER: They [his parents] taught us about character, about what it meant to live a good life.

  • ON BEING BETTER: I put a lot of energy into becoming a better artist, a better writer and a better performer. Keyword BETTER.

  • ON QUALITY RELATIONSHIPS: But years from now, when you look back on your time here on earth, your life and your happiness will be way more defined by the quality of your relationships, not the quantity. You’ll get much more joy out of depth, not breadth.

  • ON MARRIAGE: I’ve found someone who makes me want to try, someone who makes me want to take that risk. And it’s made all the difference.

  • ON FEAR: Hate comes from one thing: fear. And fear is the opposite of love.

  • ON JUSTICE:If you’re committed to loving in public, it requires you opening your eyes to injustice, to see the world through the eyes of another.

And in closing

“I want you to live the best life you can. You can be world-changers. When you leave here today, you’re going to be looking for a lot of things: security, money, friendships, sex, all kinds of things. But the most important thing you’ll find is love.

So love your self, love your work, love the people around youDare to love those who are different from you, no matter where they’re from, what they look like, and who they love. Pursue this life of love with focus and passion and ambition and courage. Give it your all. And that will be your path to true success.”
